Glass Enamel earrings made by fusing glass over fine silver in a kiln. The silver has an etched texture, which is visible through the transparent glass. This technique is known as Basse-taille.
The etched pattern is hand painted and each earring is different.
The colour is a lovely muted greyish purple. There is counter enamel on the back.

Enamel is quite hard to photograph, as colours change so much according to the light. I have tried to take the images in different light setting so you can see the effect. The exact shade may change according to your monitor settings.
