About
I live and work in the lovely Somerset town of Frome.
I make jewellery out of found objects, and also enamel on silver and copper. These are very different disciplines, but their common thread is colour.
I love colour, especially interesting colour combinations.
When making found object jewellery pieces, I take deep satisfaction in creating beautiful items out of old, often discarded materials. I work with sea glass, slag glass, ancient Roman glass, pottery shards and pebbles, and more.
With enamels, I enjoy the long (and sometimes frustrating) process.
I am still learning and experimenting, but my favourite technique is Basse-taille, which is transparent enamel fired over a texture/pattern in the metal.
My background is graphic design and illustration.
